Granola bars recipe

Ingredients-
Ingredients-You can modify your ingredients as per your requirement and availability but two most important things are rolled oats(not instant oats) and rice crisps.
- Rolled Oats (2 1/2 cups)
- Rice crisp (1/2 cup)
- Vanilla extract (just for the flavour and can be avoided if you don’t like it or don’t find it readily available)
- Butter ( unsalted) (1/2 cup)
- Honey (1/3 cup)
- Brown sugar (1/3 cup)
- Strawberry syrup ( use maple, cranberry or any other syrup as per your liking or ease of availability )
- Almond
- Cahsew
- Dates
- Prunes
- Raisins
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 Degree for 10 minutes. While the oven is getting heated, melt butter in a pan and mix it well with honey, brown sugar and vanilla extract until it forms a uniform syrup
- Keep coarsely grounded almond, cashew and walnuts ready. It should be coarsely grounded and not in powdered form.
- prepare a paste of mashed dates and prunes.
- In a large bowl mix oats and rice crisp, add a pinch of salt and coarsely grounded nuts along with dates and prunes paste
- Add some raisins and mix it well
- slowly pour in the butter syrup mixture and give it all a good mix
- Put parchment paper on your baking tray and add mixture uniformly and press it gently in a level
- Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes until granola bars are golden brown in colour.
- Remove the tray once baked and keep it out for one hour to cool down
- once it’s cold and set, cut into pieces and your healthy bars are ready to serve.
