What is the best time to have a maternity photoshoot done?

The best time to have your Dubai, Sharjah, or Abu Dhabi maternity shoot is between 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. The reason is the beautifully visible baby bump and comfort.

Do you provide an outfit for the mom-to-be for the photoshoot?

Yes, we provide outfits for the shoot. However, if Mum has a creative vision for her shoot and wants to use her own outfit, you can do so.

What should Dad-to-be wear for the photoshoot?

While preparing for the maternity photoshoot, dad often focuses on supporting their partner and forgets about their own wardrobe. However, at Arpna Photography, we believe a maternity shoot is a celebration for both parents. For a dad-to-be, we suggest wearing a light color, white or beige, or a soft pastel shirt or T-shirt with blue or black denim or trousers. Avoid big prints and checks. Avoid any contrasting color runner shoes. These outfit suggestions are to give a polished look. Lastly, coordinate your outfit with your partner’s attire to achieve a unified colour palette.

How long will the maternity shoot last?

At Arpna Photography, we believe a maternity session should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. On average, a maternity shoot lasts one to Two hours. We prioritise your comfort and encourage breaks for hydration. You will have enough time to change your outfit and do the touch-up.

Do you provide makeup for maternity shoots?

We believe in keeping the look for maternity shoots natural and timeless. We do not provide a make-up service in-house. However, we encourage an even skin tone foundation and a touch of blush to add a healthy glow and neutral tone eye make-up with light lipstick. You can have make-up and hair done by a makeup artist if you prefer that. We are happy to collaborate wit a makeup aritst

When will my photos be ready for viewing?

It takes three weeks to edit and deliver your edited images. This may sound like a long wait, but we need time to ensure you receive a beautifully edited final image with no imperfections. All images are hand-edited.

Can I bring my own outfits?

Absolutely yes. You are welcome to bring your own dresses or cultural outfits. We recommend coordinating them with our styling advice for the best results on camera.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking your session for at least 3–4 weeks to ensure your preferred date, time, and outfit availability.

Do you offer outdoor maternity sessions?

Yes, outdoor maternity shoots can be arranged depending on weather, location permissions, and your preferred style. We’ll guide you on suitable places in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. We recommend avoiding heavily touristy areas, as a maternity shoot should focus on you, rather than the surroundings.

Do you offer a discount if we allow our images to be shared?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount on your package if you consent to share selected images from your session on our portfolio and social media.

I would like to keep my image private- we understand and respect client privacy. No photos are posted on our social media without the client’s consent. Editing of images is taken care of by Arpna; no male photo editor is involved. we assure the privacy of your photos.

Do you offer payment plans?

We require a 50% advance to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable on the shoot day.

What if I need to reschedule?

We understand that plans can change. Please notify us as soon as possible, and we will reschedule based on availability.

Do you shoot on weekends?

Yes, we do offer weekend slots, but they fill up quickly. Early booking is advised to secure your preferred weekend date and location in Sharjah, Dubai, or Abu Dhabi.

What should I bring to the session?

Bring nude or white undergarments, any personal outfit you’d like to wear, and basic grooming items if needed.

Do you provide props or accessories?

Yes! We have a few props, a collection of fabrics, and creative add-ons to enhance your shoot and match your chosen style.
